A Journey from East to South,  May 11th - May 24th 2013

An interactive exhibition featuring the artist group BEDDOW'N'BATTINI combining literature and the visual arts, inspired by London’s “True Inhabitants”.

Journey from East to South takes visitors on a dynamic journey of creativity, mapped out by London locations such as: Liverpool Street, Petticoat Lane, Whitechapel, Bermondsey, Southwark, and Cutty Sark.

The show invites viewers to take in an eclectic mix of art media, including interactive animations, live drawing, oral and written language.

Created by the artist group Beddow ‘N’ Battini the artwork moves the viewer up, down, back, and forth, creating a crooked line, because life is never straight forward.

The art work takes on it's most modern form when interacted with, using the Aurasma smartphone app.  Allowing the viewer to see an animated adaption of each piece unfold before them.  Bringing out the writers voice and strengthening the message of each original story.

BEDDOW‘N’BATTINI are an exciting young group of writers, musicians, painters, illustrators and animators. Journey from East to South showcases their collaboration, brought together by experiences of city living and a shared enthusiasm for imagination. Celebrating the cohesion and individuality of London’s “True Inhabitants”. The origin for constructing this collaboration was the project 100wordpilgrimage.
