Hatched Gallery is pleased to present Hitomi Kammai, in her solo exhibition Melted Moon.
Melted Moon is an exhibition show casing her abstract paintings influenced by Pollock’s drip-style paintings. Created through a chemical reaction between glue, acrylic, and polystyrene, the textual rich surfaces created by this process are reminiscent of the craters observed on the Moon. This becomes a poetical exploration of the natural environment affected by the erosion of time against the effects of the artificial.
Hitomi Kammai is a prize winning international artist that’s been exhibiting in London since 2010. Melted Moon is the artist’s first solo since being selected from over 500 artist to participate in the Other Art Fair by a prestigious panel.
